Weddings at Monmot

The perfect setting for the most romantic of weddings

The hotel's intimate size and picturesque location make it an ideal setting to celebrate those special occasions, such as weddings, honeymoons and anniversaries.
Vows poolside or on the steps of the towers or on the beach in the open air of the Caribbean. Our experienced wedding coordinators will assist you in all aspects of planning your special day, guiding you through official procedures, before attending to decorations, flowers arrangements, introducing you to a photographer and setting up the location of your ceremony.

The wedding package includes

• Legal fees and taxi round trip to Prime Minister's Office in St. Georges for Application for a Marriage License
• Organizing the services of a marriage officer and arranging the ceremony at the resort
• Marriage License
• Minister fee
• Services of witnesses if required
• Wedding certificate
• Sparkling Wine (one bottle)
• Wedding Cake (one tier sponge)
• One Jug Fruit Juice
• One Tray of Hors d ‘oeuvres (for four)
• Standard Bouquet for bride

(Your stay with us is for a minimum of three nights and that you have advised us prior to your arrival etc.)

Documents required for Marriage in Grenada are as follows (Original documents required):

• Valid Passports Birth Certificates and/or Drivers License with photograph
• If one of the parties is divorced, proof of a Decree Absolute
• Proof of Single Status: an affidavit, or a letter from a clergyman, lawyer, or Registry on official letterhead attesting to the fact that the parties involved have not been married previously.
• If a name has been changed by Deed Poll proof is necessary
• If either party has been widowed, a Death Certificate is needed
• If either party is under 21 evidence of parental consent is required in the form of an affidavit
• All papers must be in English. If the original papers are in another language, they should be translated into English and certified
• No blood tests are required

Legal Requirements for Marriage in Grenada

• Visitors to the island must be resident on the island for a minimum of three (3) working days (this excludes weekends and public holidays) before applying for a license.
• Application for a Marriage License is then made at the Prime Minister's Office after the necessary stamp duty and license fees have been paid. This process takes approximately two days (and slightly longer if either partner is divorced, as documents must then be sent to The Ministry of Legal Affairs).

LOCATION

The ceremony can take place poolside or on the steps of the towers. Other locations in and around the hotel for example on the beach in the open air of the Caribbean may be discussed with the wedding coordinator.

HONEYMOON PACKAGE

Monmot Hotel welcomes honeymooning couples that have selected us as a romantic way to begin your new life together. We recognize the importance of providing special memories for you and we are very pleased to provide the following with compliments of the Management and Staff, provided, of course, that you have advised us prior to your arrival and your stay with us is a minimum of three nights and that a valid wedding certificate dated within three months of arrival at Monmot Hotel is produced. This offer is not combinable with the wedding package offer.
